A sad story....

A gentleman overseas contacted me about locating an A/C part for his 64 Skylark.  He seemed nice enough, so I started looking around for people who might know where to get this little bugger of a part.  Well, low and behold, I found a source and let him know about it.  This is basically a verbatim email copy for you to read about his beautiful Skylark..........

Dear Adam,

 

I located the part, and finished the restoration... in fact I took delivery of the car yesterday afternoon, took it for a spin, then went over to my father's, as this was going be his present... took $25,000 and 10 months to finish... it looked faaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic... this morning, I try to start it, and a fuel leak caused a spark, causing the car to go up in flames... can you believe that!!! enjoyed it for barely 24 hours... I was hoping of sending you just some nice pictures for your site... I am so depressed...

 

If I ever try to save it, I'll be definitely needing your help to locate some impossible parts (such as front grille, chrome side moldings, etc...)...

Marwan, I'm so sorry to hear of the fire.  If there is anything I can do to help, please ask.  I am sure there are others out there that will be able to help you out, too.  This car deserves to be brought back!
